Aunt Lucy is a sweet 95 year old lady who lives on the East side of Leeds. Her niece Jennie Vine goes to church with us in Houston. She gave me Aunt Lucy's contact information and I went to visit her one afternoon. I enjoyed a pleasant visit and a nice cup of tea.
Aunt Lucy would not let me leave without a few gummy candies to take on the bus. She was a bright light in a dark place. I had to take a bus and walk through a rougher part of Leeds to get to her house. Once inside, it was a blessing to get to know her and see the light protrude in the midst of a dark neighborhood.
