Good bye Leeds! We arrived at the airport around 4:45am. Our plane left at 6am. As you can see we slowly moved through the line with all our luggage. We get to the check out counter and realize we are in the wrong line. Our airlines did not even have a check-in line. We zip up there and breezed through customs. It was a good thing because by the time we arrived at our gate, we were within 30 minutes of taking off.
We are staying in a hotel room in Schaperkrug Hotel for three weeks. This hotel has been in the same family since around 1814 when Napolean built the road you see in front from another major town to Celle.
Here's our nice room. A bit smaller than our apartment, but nice for a hotel room.
This is a view from our window. Our hotel backyard is so peaceful. The grass is green and the flowers are blooming. We love the outdoors around this town. There are many parks and running/biking trails.
We walked through a park in town. The trees are so tall and the flowers are gorgeous!
In the middle of town is the Ducal Palace. The original walls were founded in 1292. It is now a museum and theater. There is a lovely park which surrounds the palace.
