York, England

We barely squeezed a trip in to vist York, England. York was only a 20 minute train ride from Leeds. The wall that goes around York town is about 2 miles long. It is nice to walk on the wall to see the town.
A castle tower with pretty yellow flowers on the hill.
The wall around the city has been built on top of some Roman ruins. This picture was taken looking down at some of the Roman wall that has been uncovered. They say there is probably so much underground to be discovered about the Romans and their residency in York.
York minister is a large and lovely cathedral.
